Prompt Guide
Prompts are available in the Google Patents and Espacenet website. In this guide, we will show you how to use the prompts in the Google Patents website.
There are two places where you can use the prompts in the Google Patents website. The first place is in the search results page, and the second place is in the patent details page.
Search Results Page
In the search results page, you will see a text box where you can enter the prompts. The text box is located at the top of the page below the search bar. When you enter the prompts in the text box, you need to also select the patents that you want to apply the prompts to. You can select the patents by clicking on the checkboxes next to the patents.
In the search results page, you can find predefined prompts that you can use. The predefined prompts can be found by clicking on thee pre defined prompts button. When you click on the predefined prompts button, you will see a list of prompts that you can use.
Patent Details Page
In the patent details page, you can use the same predefined prompts that you can use in the search results page, and you can also use patent varibles.
The patent variables are variables that are specific to the patent that you are viewing. The variables are:
- abstract
- description
- claims
Each variable represents a different part of the patent. You can use the variables in the prompts by enclosing the variable name in curly braces. For example, if you want to use the abstract variable in the prompt, you can write {abstract}.
You can also specify a specific claim in the claims variable by adding a claim number after the variable name. For example, if you want to use claim 1 in the claims variable, you can write {claims1}.
Here are some examples of prompts that you can use in the patent details page:
